Hytrol Manufacturing, a division of Advance Turning & Manufacturing, Inc., is a precision manufacturer serving the medical, aerospace, and other high-performance industries. We’re looking for an experienced OD/ID Grinder to join our team at our Westland, Michigan facility.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate OD/ID grinding equipment to produce precision components.
• Grind a variety of materials, including stainless steels and high-nickel alloys.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Select appropriate grinding wheels, tooling, and workholding methods.
• Make machine adjustments and offsets to maintain tight dimensional requirements.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot grinding and process issues to maintain quality and productivity.
• Maintain consistent surface finishes and dimensional accuracy.
• Work independently while collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of OD/ID grinding experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of grinding processes, setups, and tooling.
• Ability to consistently hold tight tolerances.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision inspection and measurement equipment.
• Experience working with stainless steels, high-nickel alloys, or other difficult-to-machine materials is a plus.
• CNC grinding experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
