Position Title Office Associate - Academic Support Services Evening Shift FLSA Non-Exempt FT/PT Part Time Hours Per Week 20-25 Work Schedule 4pm-9pm Monday-Thursday Position Salary Range $16 hourly Summary

The office associate provides direct administrative support to the office supervisor, ACE director, and program advisors within the Academic Center for Excellence. This role requires exceptional customer service skills and the ability to implement effective problem-solving strategies in a dynamic tutoring environment serving 51+ tutors and three distinct programs.

The office associate will handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality and be adept at working in a diverse environment that includes neurodiverse and multilingual individuals. This is a part-time position for 4 pm - 9pm, Monday - Thursday. Occasional weekends might be required.

Essential Role Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to support ACE operations.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, directing them to appropriate tutors and staff.
  • Monitor tutoring appointments and the scheduling system.
  • Respond to inquiries promptly and accurately or refer to appropriate resources.
  • Provide detailed information regarding departmental services, tutoring processes, and programs.
  • Assist with inventory management and maintenance of ACE supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare and process documents, including copying and faxing.
  • Support special events and projects as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth office operations.

Minimum Education Required Experience Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in light typing and operation of standard office equipment.
  • Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to supporting the college's sustainability initiatives in environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic prosperity.
