Key Responsibilities and Duties
Patrol and Surveillance: Regularly patrol the hotel property (guest areas, back-of-house, perimeter) in all weather conditions. Monitor surveillance equipment (CCTV) to detect suspicious activity.
Emergency Response: Act as first responders to safety, fire, and medical incidents. Respond to alarm systems, disturbances, and calls for assistance promptly.
Access Control: Monitor entrances and exits, verifying identification for staff and visitors, and managing authorized access to sensitive areas.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed incident reports, daily logs, and documentation for investigations, police, or insurance purposes.
Safety Enforcement: Ensure compliance with hotel, fire, and health safety codes (e.g., OSHA).
Guest Service: Assist guests and employees with safety-related concerns, ensuring a secure and welcoming atmosphere.
Experience/Certification: Previous security experience is preferred, often in high-end hotels. Valid security guard licenses or law enforcement experience may be required.
Skills: Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of local laws, fire codes, and emergency procedures.
