Overview:

The Senior OnBase Developer is responsible for the support, development and integration of solutions deployed on the OnBase by Hyland enterprise platform. Working collaboratively with the OnBase team and independently, the Senior OnBase Developer develops, tests, debugs, migrates, maintains, documents and supports solutions implemented for our campus users. This role is deeply knowledgeable in OnBase, leads efforts to inform campus users of platform capabilities, and enables functionality that is impactful to our campus users.

In addition to developing new solutions, this position provides first-level application support to customers including troubleshooting operational issues and developing/implementing appropriate fixes to existing solutions. The Senior OnBase Developer also supports the team's OnBase Administrator by developing automation tools that assist with day-to-day monitoring of the OnBase application, and assisting with validation of new software releases.

Responsibilities:

Leadership

• Build and maintain relationships with key campus users, team members, and OIT partners involved with OnBase implementations and solutions.
• Take a lead role in the development and deployment of critical OnBase solutions and advise on possibilities and solutions that address departmental business needs.
• Research and keep abreast of product developments to advise team on best practices.
• Partner with vendors on product roadmaps, technical bulletins, upgrades, and new modules.
• Working with the system administrator, assess and make recommendations on the adoption of new modules and functionality that enhance service offerings.
• Build user communities and foster engagement through planned activities (currently OnBase and DocuSign).

Solutions Architecture and Development

• Develop OnBase solutions using native, licensed functionality including Workflow, WorkView, and Unity Forms.
• Enhance solutions using OnBase API, C# and/or VBScript to enable user adoption and meet business process needs.
• Develop interfaces using Hyland's Unity toolkit, external database links, and/or custom integration applications that seamlessly link enterprise applications with OnBase solutions.
• Serve as project lead and solution analyst for full life-cycle projects from development to production go-live.
• Manage solution delivery using Princeton project management methodology, including risk management and mitigation, and incident escalation.
• Prepare technical requirements and solution design based on functional requirements.
• Differentiate configuration between controlled environments and migrate changes through the development lifecycle, per established dev/ops procedures.

Systems and Solutions Support

• Maintain and refine content management solutions to meet future service requirements such as document imaging (scan, sweep), advanced capture, document/content management (basic configuration, folders), document import processes (DIP, COLD), workflow, html forms, and unity forms.
• Build reports using Hyland Report Services and/or by writing custom SQL scripts.
• Partner with the application administrator to develop tools that enable automation.
• Assist with OnBase application administration and maintenance, when needed.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years of experience working in information technology, including 5 years of experience developing enterprise content management solutions (preferably in OnBase- version EP3 or higher).
• Experience as a developer on full lifecycle projects that leverage SDLC methodology, including waterfall and/or agile approaches to project implementation.
• Experience configuring and setting up ECM document imaging, document management, document import processing, workflow, electronic forms (html, unity) and reporting modules.
• Familiarity with configuring and supporting OnBase API, C# and/or VBScript within an ECM solution design.
• Ability to use SQL scripting for the creation of reports or database queries.
• Highly motivated with very strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written) skills, and the ability to work effectively independently or as a team.
• Flexibility to balance competing initiatives, multi-task between projects and applications, and adapt to changing business operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to customer service.

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent previous experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with OnBase by Hyland (version EP3 or higher) enterprise content management software.
• Experience with the administration tools for enterprise content management software, including security/user group management, SSO integration, AD/LDAP integration and daily maintenance tasks to ensure steady-state production.
• OnBase Certified Workflow Administrator, OnBase Certified Advanced Workflow Administrator, OnBase Certified Application Programming Interface (API) professional.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Microsoft SharePoint Online and Visio.
• Experience working in a higher education setting.
