Oncology Nurse Manager (RN) – La Jolla, CA

 

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Manager (RN) to lead clinical operations and support nursing teams dedicated to guiding patients throughout their cancer care journey. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a registered nurse with strong operational, clinical, and team development experience in an oncology or specialty care setting.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support nursing staff responsible for coordinating patient care and treatment services

  • Manage daily department operations, staffing plans, scheduling, and resource allocation

  • Promote a culture of patient safety, quality care, and clinical excellence

  • Ensure continuity of care and effective patient transitions between treatment settings

  • Support care coordination efforts and multidisciplinary treatment planning

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for nursing staff

  • Monitor operational performance and implement process improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, and administrative leaders to enhance patient care services

  • Assist with strategic planning, workflow optimization, and program development

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Oncology, specialty care, infusion, or outpatient experience preferred
