Operating Mechanic II Location: Orangeburg, NY Shifts: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift Available Pay:$21/hr (1st & 2nd Shift) | $26/hr (3rd Shift) Start: Quick Start!
We're hiring Operating Mechanic II team members to support maintenance and production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in industrial maintenance while gaining hands-on experience with mechanical equipment and production machinery.
Responsibilities:
Assist with routine maintenance and equipment repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues under supervision.
Perform routine machine inspections and preventive maintenance.
Replace worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.
Read equipment manuals and work orders.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and daily checklists.
Work with production teams to minimize downtime.
Keep work areas clean and follow all safety procedures.
Requirements:
Mechanical aptitude or maintenance experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must speak and understand English.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs..
Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
Willingness to learn, work overtime as needed, and work in a team environment.
