Operating Room Assistant

Overview:

Join Boston Center for Plastic Surgery as an Operating Room Assistant! 

Responsibilities:

OR Preparation

• Pick cases
• Stock rooms and maintain readiness
• Set up rooms with appropriate equipment and supplies
• Ensure stretchers, tables, devices are set up in the correct position with the correct accessories.
• Help turnover ORs between cases to allow the surgical staff a break/lunch

Equipment and Supply Management

• Check equipment availability and report malfunction
• Manage consignment and specialty supply inventory
• Unload orders
• Track inventory needs in backroom

Instrumentation

• Clean instruments appropriately
• Pack kits accurately
• Run Bowie Dicks and biologics

Qualifications:

Previous experience as an MA is preferred, but not required.

 

The expected range of pay for this position is $20-30/hr.
