A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Operating Room Lead Nurse (RN) to provide clinical leadership and support within a surgical services department. This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals who enjoy coordinating patient care, mentoring team members, and serving as a clinical resource in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Coordinate and oversee patient care activities during assigned shifts
Serve as a clinical resource and subject matter expert for surgical services staff
Assign and support team members to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate surgical care
Monitor patient progress and assist with complex clinical situations
Promote compliance with established nursing standards, policies, and safety practices
Support staff development through mentoring, coaching, and clinical guidance
Assist with workflow management, case coordination, and patient throughput
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Provide direct patient care and clinical support as needed
Foster a collaborative, professional, and patient-centered work environment
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Previous operating room nursing experience required
Specialty surgical experience preferred
Leadership, charge nurse, or team lead experience preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced surgical environment
