About the Role A leading regional healthcare provider known for patient-centric care is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join its surgical services team in Beckley, West Virginia. This is a full-time, on-site, day-shift opportunity within an acute care hospital that values clinical excellence, patient safety, and collaborative teamwork. The OR supports both inpatient and outpatient cases across a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and the organization is hiring multiple nurses for this unit. The schedule is four 10-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no call. The ideal candidate is a skilled perioperative nurse who thrives in a team-oriented setting, communicates clearly under pressure, and takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care to the community.Core Responsibilities

Serve as a circulating nurse in a fully equipped operating room supporting orthopedic and orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, general surgery, gynecology, vascular, podiatry, spine, trauma, urology, and robotic-assisted procedures
Perform accurate and thorough patient assessments and identify patient needs before, during, and after surgery
Initiate appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings and provide age- and condition-appropriate care
Complete timely and accurate documentation that supports medical necessity in the medical record
Develop, implement, and revise interdisciplinary care plans for each patient
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to keep each room running safely and efficiently
Maintain compliance with infection control, sterile technique, and OR safety protocols
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing competency validation
Support the orientation of new team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning

Required Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license in the state of West Virginia, or eligibility to obtain it
Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school
Minimum of 1 year of surgery or perioperative nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 6 months of hire
ASLS certification preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a high-pressure surgical environment
Ability to work on-site, standing for extended periods during 10-hour shifts
Must be authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available
