Description
As an Operations Accounting Analyst, you will have ownership for all things operations accounting and cost management for multiple manufacturing and/or distribution sites. You will also support ad hoc requests for the PPC Supply Chain Operations. You will report to the Operations Accounting Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Perform monthly closing procedures and account reconciliations
Evaluate account reconciliations to identify trends and ensure accuracy of the account balances.
Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis on an ongoing basis to service manufacturing, distribution and business leadership.
Help facilitate and perform re-costing and analyze results to understand real-time cost changes
Support the plant & dc manager and the leadership team with understanding results, proactive cost actions, capital investment analysis, and other ad-hoc tasks.
Oversee inventory accounting and physical inventory financial practices for the plant locations
Help with SOX audit compliance and other issues raised by internal and external audit.
Support the PPC Supply Chain Operations and Finance leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 5+ years of accounting or related experience
Strong communication and leadership skills required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
SAP and costing experience, preferred.
Travel quarterly to plant sites
