Operations Consulting Director

We are seeking an Operations Consulting Director with a strong background in operations improvement, procurement, and management consulting. Candidates must have experience with an established operations-focused consulting firm and a track record of delivering procurement, strategic sourcing, and operational transformation projects.

This is a remote role requiring reasonable access to a major airport. During active engagements, travel is typically Sunday evening or Monday morning through Thursday evening, with Friday worked remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex operations and procurement consulting engagements

• Advise senior executives on sourcing, cost reduction, supply chain, and operational performance

• Manage multiple workstreams and consulting teams through implementation

• Improve performance across manufacturing, plants, warehouses, distribution, equipment, and supply chain operations

• Apply AI-enabled tools to consulting analysis, problem solving, and operational improvement

• Build strong client relationships and identify follow-on opportunities

• Develop consulting managers and senior team members

Requirements

• Recent experience with an established operations-focused management consulting firm

• Successful delivery of procurement and strategic sourcing engagements

• Hands-on operations improvement experience across manufacturing, supply chain, plant, warehouse, or distribution environments

• Demonstrated examples of using AI in consulting or operational improvement work

• Experience leading consulting teams and executive-level client relationships

• Ability to travel approximately 80% during active projects

• Advanced degree preferred

• Corporate-only, GPO, contract, or independent consulting experience does not meet the consulting background required for this role

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
