Job Summary


Provides administrative leadership to the operations of the GMC Neuroscience Department. Responsible for business strategy, market development, and all regulatory activities.

Job Duties




+ Oversees the operational accountability for assigned areas.


+ Provides administrative leadership support to partnering Directors.


+ Serves as department liaison with outside constituents and as an active participant in assigned management forums.


+ Works with department Directors to develop, revise, and audit all department policies and operational procedures.


+ Develops business plans and oversees the development and implementation of all strategic and tactical operational plans.


+ Creates and maintains standards, operational activities, and performance measurement tools that meet operational and market needs in operational efficiency, quality, access, and patient satisfaction.


+ Facilitates a timely problem resolution process.


+ Oversees the financial performance of all assigned areas.


+ Develops, implements, and achieves budgets and provides input into business plans, financial pro-formas, and operational contingency plans.


+ Implements activities and tools that consistently educate and focus staff on key performance indicators.


+ Monitors all revenue impacting activity by reviewing reports provided by finance, care management, etc.


+ Facilitates active engagement and communication with department staff via formal meetings and informal interactions.


+ Manages all employee relations and employee performance activities.


+ Works with assigned HR Consultant on recruitment activities.


+ Maintains appropriate staffing levels and mix.


+ Assesses staff and facilitates skill development for all personnel as needed.


+ Actively participates in resolving employee problems and conflicts as needed.


+ Leads and monitors annual staff patient safety education.


+ Directs and monitors ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements in collaboration with performance improvement staff.


+ Monitors all incidents and ensures all events are reported immediately.


+ Guides outpatient care management activities and participates on teams designed to improve care with identified patient population.
