    • On-Site Engineering Leadership: Provide local, hands-on engineering support at our Richardson, TX facility, production lines, and Design Center to resolve urgent NPI and build challenges.
    • Supplier Build & Ramp-Up Management: Oversee supplier NPI and mass production builds, including material readiness verification, production line setup, tooling/fixture setup, trial runs, and volume ramp-up.
    • Process Optimization & Yield Enhancement: Assess and optimize supplier key manufacturing processes, drive line automation, and achieve continuous improvements across key performance metrics, including Yield, DPPM, Cpk, and CR.
    • Quality Documentation & Standards: Create and review critical process flow documentation, including Process Management Plans (PMP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs), testing standards, and inspection criteria for NPI and production readiness.
    • Structured Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Lead technical troubleshooting for complex PSU design and manufacturing issues, executing structured root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
    • Process & System Auditing: Conduct comprehensive process and quality system audits to ensure supplier manufacturing lines meet rigorous quality, thermal component, and Process Change Notification (PCN) standards.
    • Global Technical Collaboration: Act as an independent, cross-functional liaison between North American engineering/customer teams and international engineering teams across a 12-hour time zone difference, accelerating technical decisions and reliability data collection.

    Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

    • Design & Application Engineering Focus: Strong technical background in PSU Design Engineering or Field Application Engineering (FAE), with the primary ability to evaluate technical design proposals, circuit topologies, and manufacturing feasibility.
    • Roadmaps & Firmware Protocols: Thorough understanding of PSU product technology roadmaps, data center/AI firmware requirements, communication protocols, and industry best practices.
    • Manufacturing Process Control: Expertise in PSU manufacturing process quality control, Process Change Notification (PCN) concepts, and driving line automation.
    • Independent Leadership & Decision-Making: High level of professional maturity to operate independently and make sound technical decisions without close daily guidance while navigating cross-time-zone collaboration.
    • Quality Frameworks & Standards: Proficient in establishing, executing, and auditing PMPs, FMEAs, testing standards, and inspection criteria.
    • Root Cause Analysis & Troubleshooting: Proven skill in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving for both NPI design and mass production quality issues.
    • Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to present technical proposals, trade-offs, and quality evaluations to internal engineering teams and external partners.
