Operations Engineering Manager

Structure Resources is seeking an Operations Engineering Manager for a direct-hire opporunity with a growing, nationally recognized organization supporting complex construction, engineering, and manufacturing operations. We're looking for an experienced Operations Engineering Manager with a strong background in industrial or manufacturing engineering, process improvement, labor optimization, and team leadership. This individual will lead engineering support for manufacturing operations while driving improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, capacity, and overall operational performance.

This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to lead an engineering team and play a key role in the continued growth and optimization of manufacturing operations.

WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering

• 5+ years of related Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering experience

• Previous experience managing and developing an engineering team

• Experience completing multi-variable work measurements and developing labor standards

• Strong background in process improvement initiatives and network optimization

• Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or distribution center operations

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and facility layout development

• Experience with CAPEX planning, capital equipment, and tooling

• Strong understanding of safety, quality, cost, capacity, and production efficiency

• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and provide day-to-day direction to engineering support staff, including coaching, performance evaluations, and team development

• Assign engineering resources to effectively support manufacturing operations and project needs

• Lead the engineering portion of customer and project interviews

• Provide engineering support across manufacturing and operational projects

• Prepare proposals, budgets, and cost estimates for engineering, modeling, detailing, and CAD-related services

• Review technical drawings and electrical specifications to ensure designs and installations meet applicable standards and customer requirements

• Manage the CAPEX process, including justification and procurement of capital equipment and tooling

• Develop and maintain facility layouts using AutoCAD

• Support the design and implementation of jigs, fixtures, and tooling needed for production

• Lead and coordinate facility, equipment, maintenance, and preventive maintenance initiatives

• Monitor project activity to ensure budgets and schedules are achieved

• Partner with production personnel to identify and correct safety concerns

• Develop capacity and contingency plans to support current and future operational needs

• Optimize manufacturing and assembly processes to improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and efficiency

• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives across operations

• Build the skills, capabilities, and culture of the engineering team

LOCATION:

• Opelika / Auburn, Alabama

• Up to 30% travel based on business needs

• Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with flexibility as needed to support business operations
