Operations Intern - Full Time and Intern Opportunities Available
Role Purpose / Mission
The Operations Intern supports daily manufacturing operations while gaining hands-on experience in production processes, safety practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides exposure to plant operations, equipment, and cross-functional collaboration, contributing to efficiency, quality, and safety while developing foundational knowledge of manufacturing at Webco.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist production teams with daily operational tasks and process support activities.
- Observe and learn manufacturing processes, equipment functions, and workflow systems.
- Support data collection and analysis related to production performance, quality, and efficiency.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and team initiatives.
- Help maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and support a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams on assigned tasks.
- Perform general support duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads.

Required & Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Previous internship or hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Interest in continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Typical Physical Demands
- Work a minimum of 8 hours per day; additional hours as required.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching in a production environment.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25–50 lbs as needed.
- Manual dexterity to assist with tools, equipment, or materials.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
Typical Working Conditions
- Primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, dust, and machinery.
