Since 2020, dWELL has been an affirming recovery housing program on a mission to support young adults in their transition to independence through residences and a community-based approach that supports growth and healing. We provide a personalized, foundational, skills-based model that helps young adults pursue their individual life goals.

We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, and innovative Operations Manager to join our New York City team and contribute to our goal of making a difference. In this role, you will oversee daily operations across our recovery residences, support staff and resident services, and ensure a safe, consistent, and high-quality residential experience. You will also play a key role in strengthening operational systems, improving processes, and collaborating with program leadership to support the continued growth and effectiveness of dWELL.

What You Will Do:

Maintaining accurate, confidential records and supporting investigations and corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee the coordination of resident services, including pre-admission introductions, admissions, orientations, move-ins and move-outs, soft landings, daily living routines, resident check-ins, and community engagement activities.
  • Oversee facility operations and safety, including routine inspections, building sweeps, maintenance, repairs, inventory, purchasing, and resolution of environmental or security concerns. Coordinate with property management, pharmacies, vendors, and external partners to ensure continuity of services.
  • Support financial and administrative operations, including budgeting, expense monitoring, resource allocation, petty cash reconciliation, timesheet reviews, and operational reporting, while identifying opportunities for cost efficiency.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, including evenings, overnight hours, and weekends as needed, providing timely guidance and coordination during urgent staffing, resident, facility, and safety-related situations.

What You Need to Qualify:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations, residential services, behavioral health, or a related field, preferably with experience coordinating staff, managing workflows, or overseeing day-to-day operations.
  • Experience in recovery housing, mental health, addiction treatment, or other residential care settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, residential safety standards, compliance requirements, and quality assurance processes preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and navigate sensitive or high-pressure situations professionally.
  • Proficiency with administrative systems, documentation platforms, scheduling tools, and operational reporting.
  • Experience with electronic medication management systems such as OneStep or Kipu preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, or respond quickly during emergencies.
