New Castle Building Products (NCBP) is a full-service distributor based in White Plains, NY. Our Metals location based in Norwalk, CT is seeking an Operations Manager. Prior experience in the sheet metal industry is not required, but is considered a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule daily manufacturing work, ensuring machine utilization is optimized and production deadlines are met using MRP software.
  • Manage shop floor personnel to meet individual productivity metrics.
  • Review production paperwork for accuracy prior to releasing to the shop floor.
  • Oversee CNC programming team.
  • Communicate with customers, colleagues, and vendors with regards to all aspects of the production workflow.
  • Check and receive inbound materials.
  • Check and coordinate delivery of outbound materials.
  • Maintain production standards in accordance with the Quality Assurance Policy. Perform intermittent and final quality checks.
  • Maintain a culture of Safety. Adhering to NCM Safety Policies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting of machinery and coordinate external vendors/manufacturers repair teams as required.
  • You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must have a can do, customer service first attitude
  • Ability to navigate digital MRP systems
  • Experience in the architectural, construction, or design industry
  • Familiarity with the CAD programs
  • Familiarity with automation and integrated machinery
  • Prior experience with sheet metal fabrication and metal roofing is a plus

Wage Range: $70 - $90k annually and additional benefits. In compliance with applicable law, this range is a good faith estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
