Operations - Process Manager - Sr

Position: Project Manager
Location: McLean, VA (Hybrid)
Rate: $45-$50/hr on w2 - without benefits
Duration: 12-month contract with possible conversion to full-time

Role Overview:

This role will support a Script Governance initiative focused on ensuring that business requirements (Intent) are accurately reflected in script execution. The candidate will coordinate with business teams, script owners, developers, and leadership to ensure scripts are properly inventoried, risk-assessed, validated, and compliant with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive project execution by coordinating with Script Intent Owners and Script Developers to ensure script identification, risk assessments, and remediation activities are completed within established timelines.

• Manage governance activities and work with business teams to resolve blockers and ensure timely completion of validation and tracking tasks.

• Maintain and track new scripts (Frontbook) and legacy scripts (Backbook), ensuring all project milestones are met.

• Coordinate the inventory and risk assessment of legacy scripts, ensuring unused scripts are officially retired where applicable.

• Monitor remediation plans and ensure high-risk scripts are updated and validated within established compliance deadlines.

• Own and execute the workstream communication plan, keeping script owners, developers, and stakeholders informed about deliverables, milestones, and required actions.

• Prepare and present progress reports, performance metrics, and risk assessments to senior leadership.

• Proactively identify delays, risks, and dependencies and escalate potential issues to leadership.

• Collaborate with data analysts to maintain accurate tracking workbooks and project records.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager handling IT, data, audit, or compliance-related projects.

• Proven ability to drive accountability and ensure teams meet delivery timelines, including teams that do not directly report to you.

• Experience designing and managing structured communication plans across diverse stakeholder groups.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical processes, project status, risks, and delays to senior executives.

• Experience conducting meetings using Zoom.

• Proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with PMO frameworks, project governance, and structured delivery tracking.

• PMP certification is highly desirable.

• Previous experience or foundational knowledge in IT, data analysis, software development, or auditing.

• Banking or financial services experience, particularly in regulated environments involving legal, risk, audit, or compliance requirements.
