Job Title: Senior Event Manager Duration: 6 months Location: Jersey City Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Event Manager to join our team as a contractor for a period of 6 months. The candidate will be responsible for event management across the CIB events calendar. These include planning and budgeting for our flagship conferences as well as on-site support events for more targeted audiences. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in event management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality events on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Lead event planning and coordination support for a selection of CIB-wide events working closely with the event owners, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful execution Assist in the development and management of event budgets, timelines, and logistics Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, communications, and sales, to ensure alignment and effective promotion of the events Manage relationships with external vendors, such as caterers, audio-visual providers, and decorators, to ensure high-quality delivery of services Develop and maintain event websites, registration platforms, and other digital channels as required Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for speakers, attendees, and staff as needed Provide on-site event management support, including registration, catering, and audio-visual coordination Conduct post-event evaluations and KPIs and provide recommendations for future improvements Requirements: 10+ years of experience in event management, with some direct experience in the financial services industry preferred Proven track record of delivering high-quality events on time and within budget Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy Experience with event management software and digital tools, such as event registration platforms and website management Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders Skills Required: Excellent knowledge of events management best practice, tools and opportunities Excellent project management and people management skills Good understanding of client types covered Strives for resource optimization, cost efficiency and industrialization of processes Strong analytical skills to track KPI and monitor ROI Excellent communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to liaise in a professional manner with all levels of staff/management and external contacts Eye for detail - methodical approach to work
