JSG is recruiting an Operations Specialist - III (Senior) for our client in Elkton VA.

Overview
As a key member of our Agile Sprint team, you'll bring your deep operational expertise to guide the development, testing, and commissioning of the new DeltaV automation solution. Your insights will directly influence system design, operational safety, and user experience — ensuring our manufacturing processes are optimized for quality and compliance.
What You’ll Do & Achieve

• Actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews, providing real-time feedback from a process and operational perspective.
• Translate legacy control system functions and manufacturing practices into clear requirements for DeltaV system design.
• Interpret batch sheets and recipes to refine control sequences, graphics, and operator workflows.
• Review and approve design documents, test scripts, and SOPs to guarantee operational accuracy and safety.
• Support testing phases, risk identification, and commissioning activities, collaborating across teams to resolve functional gaps or safety concerns.
• Contribute to safety reviews, alarm management, and operator access planning to uphold high standards of safety and performance.
• Prepare operational procedures and training inputs to ensure a smooth transition during facility startup.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in biopharmaceutical drug substance or SDI operations.
• Strong familiarity with legacy API/SDI control systems and operational sequences.
• Proven experience creating recipes, batch sheets, or operational sequences in a computerized environment.
• Experience navigating the commercial supply phase within a regulated pharmaceutical setting.
• Excellent communication skills with a track record of effective collaboration across technical and operational teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Previous exposure to DeltaV automation systems, including navigation or migration projects.
• Experience working within Agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Participation in CQV activities within regulated pharmaceutical facilities.
