Description
Job Title: Operations Specialist Location: New York, NY Duration: 12 months Pay rate: $ 55-56/hr.
Introduction
The role supports front-office sales and trading activities by ensuring timely and accurate trade processing, reconciliation, lifecycle event management, and operational support across financial products. This position partners with traders, sales teams, operations, technology, compliance, and clients to support efficient transaction processing and maintain a strong control environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Trade support, capital markets operations, middle office, or financial services - 5 years of experience.
Experience with trading systems, market data platforms, and operational workflows - 5+ years of experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment - 5 years of experience.
Experience in trade validation & reconciliation
Managing trade lifecycle events- 5 years of experience.
Prior work experience at Capital market industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of capital markets products such as fixed income, equities, repo, foreign exchange, or derivatives.
Advanced Excel skills; SQL, VBA, Python, or automation knowledge is an asset.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Support daily trade capture, validation, and booking activities to ensure accurate downstream processing and settlement.
Investigate and resolve trade breaks, exceptions, and reconciliation discrepancies.
Partner with traders and sales teams to address operational issues, client inquiries, and transaction-related requests.
Coordinate with Operations, Technology, Compliance, and external counterparties to support successful trade execution and settlement.
Maintain process documentation, procedures, and audit evidence in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
