About the Role:Cargo Express Freight is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Operations Specialist – Transportation to join our growing team in Dallas, TX. Responsibilities:- Coordinate daily freight transportation operations to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
- Communicate with carriers, drivers, and customers to manage shipment status and resolve issues
- Monitor load tracking systems and update shipment records in the TMS (Transportation Management System)
- Assist in dispatching and routing of drivers and freight loads
- Identify and resolve operational delays, disruptions, or exceptions in real time
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with internal teams including sales, billing, and customer service to support seamless operations
Requirements:- 1–3 years of experience in transportation, freight, or logistics operations
- Familiarity with TMS platforms, load boards, and freight tracking tools
- Strong knowledge of carrier networks, LTL/FTL shipping, and supply chain processes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred
