Duration: 09+ Months

Job Description:
  • The Manufacturing Systems & Training Coordinator will support the site's transition from its legacy ERP system to Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1). This role will serve as a key liaison between Manufacturing and the E1 implementation team, helping translate system and process changes into practical, executable processes for production employees and supervisors.
  • The position will develop a strong working knowledge of E1 manufacturing transactions and workflows, coordinate implementation activities within Production, train and support end users, and help ensure that production documentation, work instructions, visual aids, and floor processes are updated and ready for implementation.
  • Following deployment, the role is expected to continue supporting Manufacturing through employee training, competency evaluation, documentation, ERP transaction support, onboarding, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • E1 Implementation & Production Readiness
  • Develop working expertise in Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) transactions and workflows used within Manufacturing.
  • Serve as a Manufacturing point of contact for E1 implementation and production-readiness activities.
  • Partner with the E1 project team, Manufacturing leadership, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other functional groups to prepare Production for system implementation.
  • Participate in testing, process reviews, training activities, and implementation-readiness assessments.
  • Translate E1 system requirements into practical processes that can be consistently executed by production employees and supervisors.
  • Identify potential gaps or issues between system requirements and existing production-floor processes and coordinate resolution with the appropriate teams.
  • Provide floor-level support during implementation, go-live, and stabilization.

Training & Employee Development
  • Learn E1 manufacturing transactions and develop the ability to effectively train production employees and supervisors.
  • Coordinate and deliver classroom, small-group, and hands-on production-floor training.
  • Develop or maintain training materials, quick-reference guides, job aids, and other employee support materials.
  • Evaluate employee understanding and competency related to required ERP transactions and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide coaching and refresher training as necessary.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing training of Manufacturing employees following E1 deployment.
  • Assist supervisors in identifying training gaps and developing appropriate corrective or developmental training.
Documentation & Production-Floor Readiness
  • Review existing work instructions, standard work, signage, visual aids, forms, and other production-floor materials impacted by the E1 transition.
  • Coordinate updates to affected documentation to align with new system transactions and manufacturing processes.
  • Work with appropriate document owners and Quality functions to ensure controlled documents are updated through established processes.
  • Help ensure workstations and production areas have the information and resources employees need to successfully execute E1 transactions.
  • Maintain organized training and implementation documentation.
Coordination & Continuous Improvement
  • Track Manufacturing E1 readiness activities, training completion, identified gaps, and open actions.
  • Communicate implementation status, risks, training needs, and production-floor concerns to Manufacturing leadership and the E1 project team.
  • Gather feedback from operators and supervisors and help identify opportunities to simplify or improve processes.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of recurring transactional or process issues.
  • Following implementation, support continuous improvement of Manufacturing systems, training programs, documentation, and employee qualification processes.
  • Support additional Manufacturing training, process-improvement, and operational-readiness initiatives as business needs evolve.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant manufacturing, operations, training, or systems experience; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, operations, or similarly structured environment.
  • Strong computer skills and demonstrated ability to learn new software systems and business processes.
  • Ability to understand a process and effectively teach that process to employees with varying levels of technical experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and follow actions through completion.
  • Ability to create clear work instructions, training materials, job aids, and visual documentation.
  • Comfortable working directly with production employees, supervisors, technical teams, and management.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple functions.
Preferred:
  • Experience using an ERP or manufacturing execution/business system.
  • Experience with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) or another manufacturing ERP platform.
  • Exprience training employees or facilitating structured training.
  • Experience developing work instructions, SOPs, standard work, or training documentation.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, process changes, or manufacturing improvement projects.
  • Experience working in a regulated, quality-controlled, or GMP manufacturing environment.

Key Competencies:
  • Training and facilitation
  • Manufacturing process understanding
  • Systems aptitude
  • Employee coaching
  • Documentation and technical writing
  • Cross-functional coordination
  • Problem solving
  • Continuous improvement
  • Change management
  • Attention to detail
  • Organization and follow-through
Role Evolution:
  • During the E1 implementation, the primary focus of this position will be Manufacturing readiness, employee training, documentation, system adoption, and go-live support.
  • Following successful implementation, the role may transition toward broader Manufacturing training and systems support, including new-hire training, employee competency evaluation, ERP transaction support, documentation management, refresher training, process improvement, and coordination of future operational changes.
