Operations Test Support Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Electronics Test Engineer in Wayne, New Jersey for an approximately 11-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will provide hands-on technical support for circuit-card testing and troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies down to the component level.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or demonstrated equivalent electronics troubleshooting capability.

• 5+ years of electronics troubleshooting experience.

• Current Active Secret security clearance.

• Extensive experience troubleshooting complex circuit cards down to the component level.

• Strong knowledge of CPUs, FPGAs, and RAM/ROM interfaces.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

• Experience troubleshooting densely integrated signal-processing circuitry.

• Proficiency using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.

• Strong electrical troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

• 8+ years of electronics troubleshooting experience.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical engineering support for circuit-card test operations.

• Troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies to the component level.

• Diagnose failures involving CPUs, FPGAs, memory interfaces, and signal-processing circuitry.

• Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and related diagnostic equipment.

• Interpret schematics and technical documentation to isolate electronic faults.

• Support resolution of difficult circuit-card test and production issues.

• Work with manufacturing and engineering personnel to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Work Schedule / Shift

• 1st shift, Monday Friday

• 9/80 schedule

• Approximately 7:30 AM 5:00 PM

• Some overtime may be required.

Pay

• $55.51 per hour.
