Operator 1, Other Production - 3rd Shift | El Paso, TX | $16.90/hr
About the Role
Join a leading medical device manufacturer as a vital Operator 1, Other Production on our 3rd shift team (10pm-6am). As a key player in our El Paso facility, you will ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient assembly, packaging, and labeling of high-quality medical products in a cleanroom environment. You'll work with state-of-the-art equipment, contribute to patient safety, and enjoy opportunities to expand your skills and grow within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, package, and label medical devices and pharmaceutical products following GMP, SOPs, and strict quality standards
- Operate manufacturing equipment and execute processes per detailed work instructions and product specifications
- Accurately interpret and complete all required batch records, production logs, and reports
- Perform in-process and final visual inspections to uphold product integrity and compliance
- Monitor and report production metrics, downtime, and scrap
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace in adherence to 5S and cleanroom protocols
- Handle and properly dispose of non-conforming materials
- Communicate production risks, issues, and safety concerns promptly to supervisors
- Support calibration, validation, and manufacturing improvement initiatives
- Assist in training new team members and sharing operational knowledge
- Comply with all PPE, safety, and company policy requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments (minimum 5 years)
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and adhere to GMP
- Strong attention to detail for inspection and documentation accuracy
- Capable of maintaining cleanliness and organization in a controlled setting
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingual Spanish/English a plus
- Commitment to safety and proper use of protective equipment
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Previous cleanroom or medical device assembly experience
- Familiarity with ISO, FDA, and GDP standards
