Operator II

Job Summary

This position involves operating a computer-based laser machining work center. The primary responsibility is to laser process components by following instructions provided through drawings, written, or verbal directions. The role requires familiarity with procedures and operates under direct supervision. Emphasis is placed on the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform medium to high complexity tasks related to customer-specific process requirements and comprehend documentation requirements.
• Verify system conditions or equipment status before operation. Adjust system settings within established guidelines as required.
• Inspect components to ensure specifications are met.
• Enter data and report issues as necessary.
• Take responsibility for all required process documentation as directed.
• Train other employees on production processes or equipment usage as requested by the Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow instructions of the Supervisor and/or Production Manager, conducting all work according to company policy and safe labor practices.
• Use laser radiation (non-ionizing) sources safely, considering the various wavelengths of laser light utilized in personal protection policies.
• Maintain a professional and appropriate manner, upholding a high standard of conduct and job performance.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or completion of primary school in Costa Rica.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a comparable manufacturing environment, preferably utilizing computer-aided machinery, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to follow detailed technical processes using mechanical equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated inspection equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO Quality Systems, particularly in medical device manufacturing.
• Use of optical inspection equipment, such as magnifiers, microscopes, and equipment used for measuring capacity.
