Ophthalmic Assistant (OA) - In Training

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry
• Take patient medical histories and document findings in electronic health records
• Educate patients on eye care procedures and post-operative care
• Assist ophthalmologists with minor surgical procedures
• Maintain equipment and supplies in the clinic
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
