    Ophthalmic Technician

    At Eye Clinic of Wisconsin, our Ophthalmic Technicians play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care. Working alongside our physicians, you'll guide patients through their eye care journey while utilizing advanced technology and developing specialized clinical skills in a growing healthcare field.
     
    What You'll Do
    As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will:
    • Collect and accurately document patient health histories, medications, and clinical information
    • Perform visual acuity screenings, glaucoma testing, and other diagnostic eye tests
    • Conduct refractions to help determine patients' eyeglass prescriptions
    • Complete lens prescriptions, medication forms, and patient instruction forms
    • Deliver compassionate, personalized care throughout the patient experience
     
    Qualifications
    • Passion for patient care and outstanding customer service
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Comfortable working with technology and electronic medical records
    • Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
    • Previous ophthalmology, optometry, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required
     
    Compensation: Starting pay $18.50 - $20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
