What we need you to bring.

The Opportunities Manager is an elevated inside sales role responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing, and managing the pipeline of commercial opportunities for the Cavorite X7 platform. This role owns the end-to-end opportunity lifecycle - from initial lead qualification through proposal support and handoff to contract negotiation - and serves as the central point of coordination between prospective customers, the sales pipeline, and internal stakeholders. The Opportunities Manager reports directly to the Director of Business Development and plays a key role in translating market interest into a structured, forecastable sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full sales opportunity pipeline in the CRM, ensuring accurate, up-to-date records on opportunity stage, value, timeline, and next steps.
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads against defined criteria, prioritizing opportunities by strategic fit, revenue potential, and likelihood to close.
• Conduct proactive outreach to prospective customers, operators, and partners to generate and advance new opportunities.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Program Management, and Finance to gather the technical, delivery, and pricing information needed to support proposals and customer inquiries.
• Prepare opportunity briefs, pipeline reports, and forecast updates for the Chief Commercial Officer and executive leadership.
• Support the development of proposals, quotes, and letters of intent, ensuring consistency and accuracy across customer-facing materials.
• Track competitive activity and market intelligence relevant to assigned opportunities and share findings with the Commercial team.
• Manage opportunity handoffs to senior sales leadership or the CCO for contract negotiation, ensuring complete and accurate transfer of account history and context.
• Maintain consistent pipeline hygiene and reporting cadence, including weekly pipeline reviews and monthly forecast updates.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with prospective customers throughout the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-5+ years of experience in inside sales, sales operations, business development, or a related commercial role, ideally within aerospace, aviation, or another complex capital-equipment industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-stage sales pipeline and drive opportunities to closure.
• Strong proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and pipeline/forecast reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent Horizon Aircraft professionally to external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment with shifting priorities.
• Interest in or familiarity with aviation, eVTOL, or advanced air mobility markets is a plus.
