Meador an Openwork Company is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Optical Sorting Operator for a production opportunity in Baytown, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, the ability to operate industrial equipment, and an interest in learning specialized processing machinery. This position is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing or production experience who takes pride in safety, accuracy, and product quality.
Job Responsibilities- Operate and monitor optical sorting machines, sieves, delumpers, and other processing equipment.
- Set up equipment and verify machine programs, settings, and operating parameters.
- Monitor production processes and inspect products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform product sampling and quality checks and make adjustments as needed.
- Identify equipment issues or unusual operating conditions and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Complete production logs and maintain accurate documentation.
- Clean equipment and perform machine changeovers to prevent product contamination.
- Follow all safety procedures, operating instructions, and quality requirements.
- Report equipment or production concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Qualifications- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in operating industrial equipment.
- Ability to learn and operate multiple types of machinery.
- Comfortable using computerized machine interfaces and adjusting equipment settings.
- Strong attention to detail and product quality.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to recognize equipment or production issues and report them appropriately.
- Previous manufacturing, production, or industrial equipment experience preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus.

- Schedule: Rotating shift, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Pay: $17/hr
