Optician (Greenacres Location)

About the Job

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with frame and lens selection based on their needs and preferences.
• Dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses accurately.
• Take and verify measurements for eyewear.
• Order lenses and coordinate with optical laboratories.
• Perform lensometry and operate optical equipment as needed.
• Perform basic eyeglass repairs and adjustments.
• Assist with lens selection, fitting, and final inspection.
• Process optical sales, insurance claims, and related patient transactions.
• Maintain accurate patient and optical records.
• Provide friendly, professional service throughout the patient experience.
• Follow HIPAA and office policies.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as an optician or in an optical setting.
• Knowledge of frame selection, lens products, ordering, repairs, and adjustments.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with optical equipment and computer systems.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Ability to work effectively in a patient-focused environment.
