About the Role:
Pearle Vision Collegeville is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our growing team in Collegeville, PA! In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care alongside our optometrists in a welcoming, professional environment. Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary patient testing including visual acuity, tonometry, and autorefraction
• Assist the optometrist during comprehensive eye exams and patient consultations
• Collect and accurately document patient medical and ocular history
• Educate patients on contact lens care, insertion, and removal techniques
• Manage frame and lens selection assistance, supporting optical dispensing as needed
• Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and provide outstanding front-desk support

Requirements:

• Prior experience as an optometric technician, ophthalmic assistant, or in a related eye care role preferred
• Familiarity with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and pre-testing procedures
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical and retail environment
• Basic computer proficiency; experience with EHR or practice management software a plus
• COA, CPOT, or similar optometric certification is a bonus but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
