Job Description

Position Title: Oracle APEX Architect
Location: Remote (Cincinnati, OH)
Duration: Long Term Contract
 
Role and responsibilities:
An experienced Oracle APEX Architect to lead the design, development, modernization, and governance of enterprise applications built on the Oracle Application Express platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining application architecture, establishing development standards, leading technical teams, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing business solutions integrated with Oracle databases and enterprise systems.
 
Job description:

  • Design end-to-end Oracle APEX application architectures for EBS and Fusion MES applications.
  • Define technical roadmaps, development standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable applications utilizing Oracle APEX and Oracle Database technologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend best practices for application modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership for Oracle APEX development teams.
  • Review and approve technical designs, code, and deployment strategies.
  • Establish reusable frameworks, templates, and development accelerators.
  • Lead migration of legacy Oracle Forms, custom applications, and other systems to Oracle APEX.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, DBAs, and project managers to deliver innovative digital solutions that support organizational objectives.
 
Required Skills:
  • Experience in Oracle APEX architecture and development.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Database technologies.
  • Proficiency in designing and optimizing Oracle database schemas, PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion Applications, REST APIs, SOAP Services, and third-party enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of cloud services including OCI, Azure, and AWS.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in leading technical teams and delivering scalable, secure business solutions.
  • Proficiency in creating application architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and design documentation.
  • Experience in developing API-driven architectures and service-oriented solutions.
  • Ability to guide the implementation of responsive UI/UX designs and mobile-friendly applications.
