Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain central Oracle environments, including upgrades to core versions.
- Ensure high availability using Oracle RAC.
- Handle backup/restore with Oracle RMAN strategies.
- Perform planned/unplanned failovers and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Conduct maintenance: optimize/tune memory, I/O, indexing, queries, access, tablespaces, and schemas.
- Lead capacity planning, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and security teams.
- Write complex SQL, functions, triggers, and database objects.
- Design/implement reports and report interfaces.
- Apply security best practices for Oracle databases.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Oracle Certified Professional or higher.
- 10+ years in Oracle database architecture (12c or higher).
- 10+ years tuning Oracle databases (queries, indexes, memory, I/O, storage).
- 10+ years with Oracle RMAN backup/recovery.
- 10+ years in Oracle RAC/highly available environments and failovers.
- 10+ years writing complex SQL and database objects.
- 10+ years troubleshooting and upgrading Oracle databases.
- 10+ years in database design, documentation, coding, and SQL.
- 5+ years operating Oracle databases in cloud (Azure/AWS).
- 5+ years in database automation/DevOps.
- Native/bilingual English proficiency.
