Job Description

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon: Travel to Reno 1–2 Days per Month

Reno, NV (recruiting from Sacramento and the West) | Part-Time, 1–2 Days per Month | No Relocation | $12,000–$20,000+ per Day Potential

The organization builds the referral network and stacks the cases. You come to Reno and operate. A confidential, 100% dentist-owned group wants an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to travel in about 1–2 days a month for pre-scheduled, concentrated surgical days serving its own established patient base. No relocation, no hospital call and no new referral network to build.

The work

  • Third molars, including fully impacted
  • Complex surgical extractions
  • Dental implant placement and complex implant surgery
  • Bone grafting and ridge augmentation
  • Full-arch surgery
  • Sedation and general anesthesia cases, plus other comprehensive oral surgery

Cases are identified, coordinated and scheduled before each trip, so your days are full of surgery rather than scattered consults. You decide which cases fit your scope.

Where your patients come from

Pediatric and general dentists inside the organization, with established pediatric and family patient relationships and internal treatment coordination. Cases that would otherwise leave the organization are referred to you.

The practice

  • 100% dentist-owned and dentist-led: no private equity, no corporate bureaucracy
  • Strong clinical autonomy and provider-first leadership
  • Established facilities equipped for general anesthesia, sedation, implants, grafting and full-arch surgery
  • Experienced teams handling treatment coordination and post-op patient management

Schedule and growth

  • About 1–2 surgical days per month to start
  • No expectation that you relocate or leave your current practice
  • As internal referrals grow: more days, more offices in the region, a hand in building surgical protocols, and larger long-term opportunities if both sides want them

What you need

  • DDS or DMD and an accredited OMS residency
  • Board-certified or board-eligible
  • A Nevada dental license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Appropriate anesthesia and sedation credentials
  • Experience with third molars, advanced surgical extractions, implant surgery and bone grafting
  • Ability to travel to Reno consistently, about 1–2 days per month

Compensation

Collections-based, with estimated earning potential of $12,000–$20,000+ per clinical day. Actual earnings depend on procedure mix, production, collections and case volume.

Why Reno

Reno-Tahoe International Airport and an easy drive from Sacramento and Northern California make it practical for a travel model. It's a growing market with less specialist saturation than most big Western metros, and we welcome surgeons from the Bay Area, Central California, Lake Tahoe, Southern Oregon, Utah, Arizona and beyond.

How to be considered

Submit your CV with a short note on where you're based, your Nevada license and anesthesia credentials, and how many days a month you could commit.

This is a confidential search. The practice name is shared after a brief screen, so please do not contact the practice directly.
