About the Role:East Atlanta Oral Implant & Facial is looking for a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery Assistant to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced oral surgeons in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your skills truly make a difference every day.
Responsibilities:- Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures including extractions, dental implants, and facial surgeries
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and operatory rooms before and after procedures
- Monitor and support patient comfort and safety throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op stages
- Take and process dental X-rays and 3D CBCT scans as directed
- Document patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories accurately in practice management software
- Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and answer follow-up questions
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and assist with ordering and stocking as needed
Requirements:- Prior experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant strongly preferred
- Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology
- Current Dental Radiography (X-ray) certification required
- CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Familiarity with IV sedation protocols and monitoring is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical setting
- Compassionate, professional demeanor with excellent patient communication skills
