Overview: Intermediate-level position for individuals with hands-on machine operation experience, limited welding background, or recent formal training in welding. Key Traits & Requirements: - Operator experience in machining or welding equipment
- Some hands-on welding experience or recent welding school graduate
- Basic understanding of weld quality and inspection standards
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with moderate supervision
- Committed to continuous improvement and skill development
- Must be able to become qualified in accordance with the requirements of Section IX of the ASME Boiler andPressure Vessel Code for Automatic Welding
Typical Responsibilities: - Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Follow safety protocols and supervisor instructions
- Support experienced welders as needed
- Operate orbital welding and related machinery
- Prepare and align components for welds
- Conduct visual inspection of welds for quality compliance
- Perform minor equipment adjustments and maintenance
- Work collaboratively with senior welders or supervisors to meet production goals
Pay Range: $23-25 / hour
