Order Entry Pharmacy Technician

DUTIES INCLUDE but are not limited to:

• Enter prescriptions into the system in a timely manner
• Triage prescriptions and clinical data appropriately
• Ensuring accuracy of prescription information and maintaining patient profiles
• Telephone outreach to doctor offices and patients
• Manage various pharmacy programs and assess workflow
• Assist pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians
• Other responsibilities as directed by Pharmacy Manager based on business needs

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Florida 
• National Pharmacy Tech certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of prior Pharmacy Technician experience in order entry
• Knowledge of basic pharmacy order entry practices and procedures
• Knowledge of Pharmacy medications and medical supplies
• Strong mathematical computation skills
• Knowledge of record-keeping techniques
• Good communication skills
• Ability to analyze problems, interpret data and develop solutions
• Attention to detail
• Accurate typing

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Requires sitting, standing and occasional light lifting
