Order Picker / Forklift Operator - Weekday Day Shift

SUMMARY: Performs responsible semiskilled work in processing orders, receiving, performing quality inspections, moving materials within the warehouse, and loading/unloading trucks; does related work as required. Work is performed under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receives product and orders both physically and in the system.
• Performs quality inspections.
• Operates a forklift and other equipment as needed.
• Ensures trucks are unloaded properly.
• Prepare orders based on packing lists.
• Achieves and maintains acceptable minimum standards of activity.
• Verifies color and records grade, shade, and quantity selected for shipment.
• Palletizes cartons according to shipping orders.
• Moves production materials into warehouse.
• Moves pallets of material within warehouse and trucks.
• Ensures trucks are loaded properly according to the shipping order.
• Assist order processors with selection and palletizing materials.
• Maintains order and condition of all material stored in warehouse.
• Identifies and processes return materials.
• Inspects assigned equipment on a daily basis.
• Performs general housekeeping duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Forklift experience required.
• Ability to work in high areas.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
