Orthodontic Assistant

About the Role:
Looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing dental team in Moreno Valley, CA! Responsibilities:

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during patient examinations, adjustments, and orthodontic procedures
• Place and remove orthodontic brackets, bands, wires, and ligatures under doctor supervision
• Take and process dental X-rays, photographs, and impressions for treatment planning
• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, compliant treatment area
• Greet patients, manage appointment flow, and ensure a positive patient experience

Requirements:

• Prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience strongly preferred
• Dental Assistant certification or RDA license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, terminology, and equipment
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered chairside manner
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented dental office
• Knowledge of dental practice management software is a plus
