About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our general orthopedics team in Macon, GA. This role offers a blend of surgical first assist, clinical responsibilities, and rounding, providing a well-rounded and dynamic practice environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in general orthopedic surgeries, including procedures on hips, shoulders, wrists, joints, and more
• Provide clinical care and patient management in an outpatient setting
• Participate in sports event coverage as needed
• Take on-call shifts (approximately 3-4 nights per month)
• Contribute to practice operations, including administrative tasks alongside clinical duties

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, five 8-hour shifts per week
• Three days in clinic
• Two days in orthopedic surgery

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum of 2 years of first assist experience in the operating room
• Must have surgical/OR experience, including the ability to sew and close incisions
• Candidates fresh out of school are not eligible for this role
