What You'll Tackle

• Maintain and troubleshoot fiber optic network infrastructure
• Execute customer activations, service repairs, and outage restorations
• Run fiber tests and basic network diagnostics; record results
• Inspect network cabinets, equipment, and field infrastructure
• Work with remote engineering and network operations teams on issue resolution
• Verify contractor workmanship and escalate quality concerns
• Provide after-hours and emergency response support as needed
• Operate with strict adherence to company and industry safety standards

You'll enable reliable connectivity for customers across the Bloomington, IN area by ensuring the fiber plant is tested, documented, and maintained to high standards—and by turning up services correctly the first time.

Qualifications That Fit

• Associate's degree or technical training in Telecommunications, Electronics, IT, or related field preferred
• 1-3 years in telecommunications, utilities, networking, field service, or related technical roles
• Fundamentals of fiber optics and troubleshooting
• Mechanical aptitude and strong analytical thinking
• Self-directed with clear, timely communication to remote teams
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel locally

Nice to Have

• Experience with fiber or broadband networks
• Hands-on use of test equipment and system troubleshooting
• Background in outside plant, utilities, telecommunications, or network infrastructure
