What You’ll Do:
As a Home Health OT, you’ll bring the therapy to them—working with patients recovering from illness, injury, or disability to rebuild the skills they need to live independently.
Your Role Will Involve:
- Assessing patients in their homes to understand their current abilities and needs
- Creating customized treatment plans focused on increasing independence in daily activities
- Assisting with strategies to make everyday tasks easier and safer
- Improving hand-eye coordination to enhance motor skills and independence
- Supporting mental health by helping patients manage conditions like dementia and depression
- Teaching caregivers and family members therapy techniques for continued support
- Educating patients and families on managing conditions for the best possible quality of life
- Tracking progress through regular documentation to monitor improvements
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in the state of practice
- Compassion, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in patients’ home environments
- Independence, reliability, and effective time management for a flexible, home-based setting
- Willingness to make frequent home visits
