Insight Hospital and Medical Center- Chicago is seeking qualified pharmacy technicians to assist with outpatient pharmacy services. As outpatient pharmacy technicians, candidates will be responsible for all activities that a pharmacy technician is expected to perform and other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Director of Pharmacy & Outpatient Pharmacy Manager.
 
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Pharmacy Technician license within the State of Illinois
Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing under the laws of the State of Illinois
 
Responsibilities Include:
  • Entry of drug orders into computer software McKesson Enterprise
  • Dispensing and preparation of medication before pharmacist checks the final product prior to dispensing to patients
  • Answering telephones at all times
  • Directing patients to the pharmacist for consultation on drug matters, as well as to physicians, nurses, and/or other health-care personnel as appropriate
  • Providing excellent customer service to all patients answering any questions they may have pertaining to pharmacy services
  • Supervision and final inspection of packaging or manufacturing processes
  • Participation in Meds to Bed program as directed by Outpatient Pharmacy Manager
  • All activities that a technician may perform
