The Outreach Manager will support the California-based Public Sector energy efficiency program team. The Public Sector energy efficiency team focuses on implementing California ratepayer-funded energy efficiency and electrification programs within Southern California. The Outreach Manager will work with various internal and external stakeholders to proactively engage public agencies through targeted outreach to maximize program enrollment and participation within the Southern California Edison and Southern California Gas territory. Lead and/or assist with energy efficiency project management activities focused on serving California local governments, school districts, tribal nations, and federal agencies. The role will require a high level of collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate local government decision-making, procurement, regulation, and energy efficiency and electrification rebate requirements on behalf of program participants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Job Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in public administration, business administration, engineering, environmental science/studies, economics, or related field, with a focus on or exposure to the energy sector.
Bachelor's degree with more than 3 years of related experience.
Master's degree with more than 1 year of related experience.
Must reside within Kings, Tulare, Kern, Riverside, or San Bernardino County to support in-person agency engagement and outreach activities within the program's service area.
Knowledge of standard energy efficiency and electrification technologies.
Knowledge of the California ratepayer-funded energy efficiency marketplace.
Knowledge of Key Opinion Leader (KOL) concepts and strategies that leverage trust and credibility to drive customer acquisition.
Experience using CRM or other computerized tracking/database systems.
Ability to engage with and manage internal and external stakeholders to drive program results.
Ability to clearly communicate public sector energy efficiency technical services to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Office suite to document and communicate effectively.
Ability to deliver results that achieve business outcomes and build lasting relationships.
Ability to align organizational and client goals to drive project success and business growth.
