About This Position

The Outreach Manager plays a critical role in advancing Kelloggs Executive MBA enrolment goals through the design and execution of high-impact events, communications, and engagement strategies. This position serves as the operational lead for a portfolio of recruiting and yield events, both virtual and on-campus.

Working closely with admissions leadership, students, alumni, and external partners, the Outreach Manager combines strategic thinking, meticulous project management, and technology-driven solutions to deliver exceptional prospective student experiences.

We are seeking a highly organized, self-directed professional who enjoys both strategic planning and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate is energized by managing complex projects, leveraging technology to improve processes, and creating exceptional experiences for prospective students and stakeholders. Success in this role requires initiative, attention to detail, strong judgment, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across teams.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute EMBA recruiting and yield events-including information sessions, webinars, Preview Days, off-campus dinners and receptions, and corporate outreach activities-while overseeing venue selection, contract negotiation, vendor management, logistics, volunteer coordination, stakeholder engagement, check-in, follow-up, and event evaluation.
• Develop event strategies that support enrollment objectives, market priorities, and audience engagement goals in partnership with Director of Strategic Planning and Outreach.
• Recommend new event concepts, formats, and outreach approaches based on participant feedback, market trends, and performance data. Use event analysis, feedback, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities to improve outreach activities and events.
• Manage event budgets by estimating costs, tracking expenses, coordinating with catering and facilities teams, and making cost-conscious decisions related to menu planning, room setup, décor, and vendor services to ensure events are executed within budget.
• Prepare event briefs to keep key stakeholders informed in advance of events.
• Co-manage relationships with alumni and student ambassadors in partnership with the EMBA Admissions team.
• Produce event reports and ROI analyses using event data.
• Travel to the Miami campus approximately four times per year to support and host key events.
• Manages all communication around event promotion, including updating the events page of the website, drafting/sending event invitations and follow-up communications.
• Manages event inquiries from prospective and admitted students
• Maintains a close relationship with the centralized Admissions Outreach team and meets regularly to update the broader team on event best practices.
• Works closely with the Director of Strategic Planning and Outreach, and Director of Admissions to drive outreach strategy.
• Partners with the Marketing Admissions team on marketing and communications efforts to prospective and admitted students.
• Markets the Kellogg School of Management and embodies the Inspiring Growth brand at all times when planning and executing events.
• Serves as a Kellogg ambassador through all interactions with prospective students and key stakeholders (current students, Kellogg staff, professors, alumni, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances)

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
• 2+ years of professional experience in event management, admissions, marketing, stakeholder engagement, project management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and cooperatively with other staff and volunteers.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with limited oversight while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and creative skills.
• User of Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate, Forms, and other collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)

• Event planning, marketing, or higher education experience with ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
• Demonstrated ability to create systems, workflows, and reporting mechanisms that improve team effectiveness.
• Experience developing project plans, timelines, tracking systems, and stakeholder communication plans.

Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)

• Proficient with CRM systems and event management platforms.
• Comfortable leveraging technology and AI-enabled tools to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance stakeholder communications.
• Resourceful problem solver who takes initiative and anticipates needs.

Target hiring range for this position will be $60,000 - $65,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
