Outside Sales Representative

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Prospect, qualify, and close builder, architect, and GC accounts across Birmingham and Huntsville

- Build a book of specified accounts — get Iron Works USA named on the plans and included in the base price

- Present iron doors / glass rooms in builder offices, model homes, design centers, and job-site trailers

- Prepare take-offs, proposals, and quotes; hand off to CAD and production once signed

- Attend HBA of Greater Birmingham, HBA of North Alabama, and Parade of Homes events

- Coordinate field measures, installation dates, and punch-list resolution with the shop and install teams

- Maintain the CRM daily — activity, pipeline, forecast, and win/loss

- Hit weekly activity standards: 15+ in-person builder / architect calls per week

WHAT YOU BRING

- Minimum 5 years outside sales experience in new construction materials and door and window replacement

- Home building experience is a strong plus — direct work with production, semi-custom, or custom home

builders

- Existing relationships with Birmingham and/or Huntsville builder community strongly preferred

- Proven track record calling on builders, architects, and general contractors

- Comfortable reading plans and doing rough take-offs

- Self-starter — this role runs the territory day-to-day with weekly check-ins

- Valid Alabama driver's license, reliable transportation, clean MVR

- CRM discipline (Monday.com, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)

Iron Works is expanding into Alabama and hiring an Outside Sales Representative to develop the Birmingham and Huntsville new-construction market. This role owns the builder, custom-home, and developer channel — calling on production builders, semi-custom builders, custom-home builders, residential architects, designers, and general contractors to specify and sell Iron Works USA custom iron entry doors, wine cellar doors, and glass rooms into new-construction projects across Central and North Alabama.

- Primary metros: Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Homewood, Trussville, Chelsea, Helena, Alabaster, Pelham
- Secondary metros: Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Decatur, Hampton Cove, Owens Cross Roads
- Accounts: production & semi-custom builders, custom-home builders, developers, general contractors,
residential architects and designers, building-supply dealers
- Product focus: single & double iron entry doors, pivot doors, iron railings, wine cellar doors, glass rooms /
sunrooms on new-construction jobs
