markets.Position SummaryMongiovi & Son is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to generate new business and expand relationships with existing customers across our Fire Protection, Plumbing, and Excavation service divisions.This is a field-based sales position focused on developing relationships with commercial property owners, property managers, facility managers, general contractors, businesses, and other potential customers throughout our service area.The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying opportunities and selling our recurring and on-demand services, including fire protection inspections, testing and maintenance, system repairs, plumbing service and preventative maintenance, and excavation/site services.The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys building relationships, prospecting for new business, and developing long-term customers.ResponsibilitiesDevelop new commercial business for Mongiovi & Son's Fire Protection, Plumbing, and Excavation service divisionsProspect and identify new customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, jobsite visits, in-person meetings, and other business development activitiesBuild relationships with property managers, facility managers, building owners, general contractors, and other key decision-makersSell recurring fire protection inspection, testing, and maintenance services, including sprinkler, fire alarm, fire extinguisher, and suppression servicesGenerate opportunities for fire protection repairs, system upgrades, deficiencies, and other service workPromote commercial plumbing service, repairs, preventative maintenance, and ongoing service agreementsIdentify opportunities for excavation, sitework, underground utility, and related servicesConduct customer visits and site walk-throughs to understand customer needs and identify service opportunitiesPrepare and present proposals, estimates, and service agreements in coordination with division managers and estimating teamsFollow up on proposals and open opportunities to drive sales through completionMaintain consistent communication with prospects and existing customersDevelop and maintain a strong sales pipelineMaintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, proposals, and follow-up activitiesWork closely with service managers, operations, estimating, and field teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to serviceIdentify opportunities to cross-sell services between Mongiovi & Son's different divisionsRepresent Mongiovi & Son professionally at customer meetings, networking events, trade organizations, and industry eventsMeet established sales and business development goalsQualificationsPrevious outside sales, business development, account management, or commercial service sales experience preferredExperience in fire protection, plumbing, mechanical services, construction, facilities management, property management, or another commercial service industry is strongly preferredExperience selling recurring inspection, maintenance, or service agreements is a plusStrong prospecting and relationship-building skillsComfortable making cold calls and approaching prospective customersAbility to communicate effectively with customers, field personnel, managers, and executivesStrong organizational and follow-up skillsAbility to manage multiple prospects and opportunities at various stages of the sales processSelf-motivated and comfortable working independently in the fieldBasic computer skills and ability to
