Location: San Diego, CA (Miramar)

Employment type: Full-time, W-2 

Pay: $20/hour + uncapped commission. Expected total earnings of $85K to $95K in year one, with top performers potentially earning $150K+. 

Windows and doors define a custom home 

Our clients are building dream homes across Southern California, and the windows and doors are features they'll live with every day. For 45 years, Priority Doors & Windows has supplied them as a San Diego dealer of brands including Fleetwood, Marvin, Euroline, and LaCantina, with a high-end, premium showroom that's one of the largest in the state. We supply; we don't install. We're under new ownership and growing the team and the business. Our inside sales team handles incoming leads. You'll go get the business and make sure the architects and builders behind these homes think of Priority first. 

The Role 

You'll spend most of your time prospecting in person: at architects' offices, builders' job sites, and industry events. Your targets are high-end custom builders, architects, designers, and homeowners, starting in San Diego and reaching into Orange County and Los Angeles. It's pure outside sales: no inbound leads; you'll remain the primary sales representative for the accounts you develop. 

We're open to experience. Industry veterans own their deals from first meeting through order. If you're newer, our team will support quoting and closing while you learn. You'll report to our Sales Manager. This isn't order-taking. Expect long sales cycles, multiple decision-makers, and real competition. You win by being the rep who knows the plans, knows the products, and follows up until the order is placed.

What You'll Do 

• Build a target list of custom builders, architects, and designers in San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles, and meet them in person at their offices, job sites, industry events, and our showroom 
• Read architectural plans and door and window schedules to spot opportunities and match products to projects 
• Get Priority onto bid lists, work with our inside team on proposals, and follow up through the decision 
• Grow existing accounts across multiple projects and product lines 
• Track activity and pipeline in Salesforce 

What You Bring 

• Experience in outside sales, business development, or a field-based customer role 
• Comfort walking into an office or job site cold and starting a conversation 
• Ability to read architectural plans, or the aptitude to learn quickly 
• Self-directed and persistent through long sales cycles, with disciplined follow-up 
• You welcome direct feedback from your manager and your customers, and act on it 
• This is a field-based sales position requiring frequent local and regional driving throughout San Diego County, with regular travel to Orange County and the Los Angeles area. A valid driver's license, access to a reliable insured vehicle, and an acceptable driving record are required. Business mileage is reimbursed. 

Nice to Have 

• Door, window, or building products sales experience 
• Existing relationships with architects, custom builders, or designers in San Diego, Orange County, or Los Angeles 
• Familiarity with window performance specs (U-factor, SHGC, Title 24) 

Pay & Benefits 

• Base pay: $20/hour. This position also earns uncapped commission, paid monthly. Based on the current compensation plan and expected sales performance, estimated total first-year earnings are $85,000 - $95,000. Actual commission earnings vary based on individual sales performance and are not guaranteed.

• A small team with direct access to ownership. The owners talk with the sales reps daily, and you'll help shape how outside sales is built.

Schedule 

• Monday through Friday, mostly in the field, with regular time at our Miramar office and showroom.
