Position Summary
A manufacturer is seeking an experienced Architectural / Construction Sales Representative to develop and manage a defined sales territory. This role focuses on building long-term customer relationships, driving repeat business, and securing project specifications and orders within the commercial construction and glazing market. The position blends outside sales, project support, estimating coordination, and field interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain a strong customer base to generate repeat business within the assigned territory
Develop long-term relationships with contractors, architects, and industry partners
Promote product solutions to architects and influence project specifications
Work closely with internal teams to negotiate, secure, and follow up on orders and estimates
Create and submit sales plans, including customer projections and territory strategies
Monitor competitive market conditions locally and nationally
Quote projects directly and/or coordinate with estimating teams
Review architectural drawings and perform material take-offs as needed
Visit job sites to understand installation processes and assist in resolving field issues
Support payment collection and credit authorization processes
Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
Five or more years of experience in construction, glazing, or architectural products, or a combination of education and relevant industry experience
Background in customer service and/or estimating preferred
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
Strong understanding of job site operations and installation practices
Safety-focused, quality-driven, and detail-oriented
Self-motivated with strong relationship-building and communication skills
